Investing Overview

Clicking on the Invest tab brings you to our new Overview dashboard, which gives you a complete, real-time view of your investments across all accounts. There’s no shortage of ways to explore your portfolio with various charts, overviews, and ways to customize what you see:

• Overview graph with comparisons: See the full value of your portfolio over a range of time periods, and compare to popular indices or other types of equities.
• Quick balance estimates: Understand how current market moves might be impacting your total holdings with a live balance estimate (with an on/off toggle, depending on your preferences).
• Instant Insights everywhere: Tap the ✦ button in the top right corner of any widget to get detailed information on what exactly has changed in your portfolio. See why the value of your holdings might have dropped, or why there might be shifts in asset allocation.
• Market Recaps: Along with Market Briefs available on the main dashboard, you can see AI-powered summaries of relevant market news updated throughout the day.
• AI Advisor: Our chat function can answer detailed questions about your investments, and will remember these conversations for future guidance.

Holdings

The Holdings tab provides you with a straightforward, easy-to-understand chart of how all your stocks, bonds, and crypto assets are performing. It includes everything from the total value of your holding, the share price, any associated costs, and the average return in both percentages and real dollar figures.

Customize Display Data: Want to visualize more granular data when it comes to some of your holdings? Quickly toggle things like share price, average costs, or return in % — and turn on Pro View to see even more ways to view your portfolio.

Market Watch

Think of the Market Watch tab as your personalized market search engine and news source. Up top, you can search for any specific stocks, cryptos, or ETFs — or you can scroll down and take a look at all the info automatically prepared for you, including:

• How individual stock market indexes are performing
• Plain English summaries of the news stories impacting the markets right now
• The status of the stocks on your customizable watchlist
• Sector-wide market performance
• Which earnings calls are coming up
• How popular cryptocurrencies are faring.

Daily Market Briefs

We know that staying on top of how (and why) the markets are moving can be overwhelming — especially when you want to understand how those shifts affect your financial picture. Now you can get that information right on your Origin dashboard: Daily Market Brief is your personalized market pulse that gives you the day’s key finance news, jargon-free.

Answers to your questions

Can I add my partner to Origin? Yes. Origin offers partner access so you can manage your finances together at no additional cost. You’ll be able to filter transactions by member—making it easy to see which spending is yours and which belongs to your partner.

Can I edit or add transactions? Yes. You can edit existing transactions and add new ones directly in Origin, so your records stay accurate and personalized.

Which systems does Origin use to connect accounts? Origin connects securely through trusted partners including Plaid, MX, and Mastercard.

Can I import transactions? Yes. Origin supports CSV uploads. You can upload a .csv file of your transactions, and we’ll import them into your account.

Is it safe to connect my accounts? Yes. Your data is protected with bank-level security and advanced encryption. When you connect accounts through Origin, your login credentials are never shared with us. Instead, our partners generate secure tokens that let Origin access only the data you authorize—keeping your personal information private while enabling personalized insights.

Can I categorize my spending? Yes. You have full control to organize your spending in Origin. Transactions are automatically categorized by Origin, but you can always edit categories, add your own tags, and filter transactions however you like—so your spending reflects the way you actually manage money.
